Ubisoft stopped releasing its new games on Steam in 2019 but the company has now announced that will be bringing new games back to Steam. According to the statement, Assassin's Creed Valhalla will be one of the titles released for PC gamers via Steam.
While Ubisoft moved away from Steam in 2019, it did continue to release games for PC through Ubisoft Connect and the Epic Games Store. Games such as Assassin's Creed Valhalla, The Division 2 and Ghost Recon Breakpoint were never released on Steam. In a recent interview with The Verge, it was revealed that things are changing again.
It's been confirmed that Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Anno 1800 and Roller Champions will finally be coming to Steam. However, it's unclear if Ubisoft intends to release games on Steam again regularly or if this will be according to a game-by-game basis. Assassin's Creed Valhalla releases on Steam on December 6th and dates for the other two will be coming later.
