Capcom's recent Resident Evil showcase gave us our first extended look at the upcoming Resident Evil 4 Remake which is due to release next year. It also had a new trailer for the game which seemed to be mostly made from in-game cinematics which looks pretty good.
The extended gameplay video was the highlight of the Resident Evil showcase. It follows Leon as he enters Ganados village for the first time as he searches for the President's daughter. Naturally, the village isn't as it seems and Leon must run for his life from the infected villagers. He needs to fight for his life by dodging between enemies, putting distance between himself and the enemies trying to kill him while shooting at them.
It's a five-minute clip that's full of tense action as a frantic Leon tries to escape different enemies, including the infected villager with a chainsaw. So far, the Resident Evil 4 Remake looks and feels pretty accurate to the original.
Resident Evil 4 will release on March 24th 2023, and we can expect to start seeing a lot more content coming from the upcoming game.
