During the Summer Game Fest 2022 showcase, The Last of Us Remake was announced. It had been rumoured for quite some time, but it was finally confirmed during the event, along with some additional surprises. While this year's E3 has been cancelled, Sony has continued the classic E3 tradition of accidentally leaking announcements prior to the show.
Aside from the announcement trailer, a few other details were also revealed. The original performances are included in the remake, but the animations have been improved to make them more fluid. It also includes new enemy AI based on The Last of Us Part 2 and new combat options, all of which should improve the overall combat experience.
The Last of Us Remake will be released for PlayStation 5 on September 2nd later this year. However, Sony has also revealed that it will be coming to PC as well at a later date.
