Geoff Keighley has just announced that the date for the Summer Game Fest show that's being held this summer. It's become a significant event over the years, filled with game announcements and special guests from all over the gaming industry. While E3 2022 was cancelled, Keighly promised earlier this year that the Summer Games Fest was still taking place.
The summer Games Fest is back yet again, with both the main show and a Day of the Devs segment focused on indie titles. Keighley explains that they've partnered with IMAX and that the event will be streamed in select IMAX theatres on the big screen.
Keighley states they are "building a next-generation global event", which will include "decentralized physical events for the community in IMAX, big showcases" and will include "play at home content" as a starting point.
Next month, summer Games Fest 2022 will be held on June 9th at 2 pm ET / 6 pm GMT.
