The Order: 1886 is a game that didn't get very far when it was released in 2015 exclusively for the PlayStation 4. It lacked critical praise and it wasn't a big commercial success either. However, it looks like Sony might be looking to revive the game and potentially make a sequel.
A new trademark for The Order: 1886 was filed in the US on December 9th 2021 so this has been done very recently. Sadly the trademark doesn't give us much information outside of confirming that Sony does still care about the IP.
A sequel for the game has been in talks for years and developer Ready At Dawn was acquired by Facebook in 2020. The team has been working on various VR games for the tech giant so it seems unlikely they will be coming back to work with Sony on a new game.
