News Bit: PlayStation will still get some Activision Blizzard games

The Activision Blizzard acquisition has left a lot of people wondering about the future of games releasing for PlayStation. While it's possible many games from Activision Blizzard will become Xbox console exclusives, this won't be the case for all franchises.

A Sony spokesperson states that Sony expects Microsoft to “abide by contractual agreements”. This isn't a surprise since Microsoft also honoured the current contracts Bethesda had with Sony for exclusives. However, it's not clear what contracts Sony currently has with Activision Blizzard.

Phil Spencer the head of Xbox has also revealed on Twitter that the company intends to keep Call of Duty on PlayStation. He states that “Sony is an important part of our industry, and we value our relationship”. Spencer also re-confirms that Xbox intends to “honour all existing agreements”.

We still don't know all the Activision Blizzard games that will continue to release for PlayStation but its clear Call of Duty won't be going anywhere.
