In a surprise move, it's been confirmed that GTA San Andreas will be getting the VR treatment and will release on the Oculus Quest 2. The announcement was made by Oculus during the Connect 2021 event and was posted to the official website as well. Oculus has revealed that this is a project that has so far been “many years in the making”.
Considering how little was revealed about the VR release of GTA San Andreas, it might be some time before we see much more of the game It's also unclear what version is coming to the Oculus Quest 2 in the future. GTA San Andreas was recently re-released as part of the GTA: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition collection with graphical improvements and modernised controls. This version would make the most sense to release for the Oculus Quest 2 but it's not been confirmed.
No release date has been provided yet by Oculus and there's no news about who is making the GTA San Andreas port for the Oculus Quest 2.
