Xbox has announced that Discord is coming to the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S consoles for everyone to download and use soon. Users will be able to voice chat with accounts on Discord using the voice channels or by directly calling other users. Xbox also confirms that it will be cross-platform, Xbox users will be able to voice chat with anyone on Discord using a mobile or PC.
Discord is now available on Xbox for some console owners. It was released as a new update for Xbox Insiders and “will be available soon for everyone”. This has been a highly requested feature and the Xbox release marks the first time Discord has been available on a console which hopefully means a PlayStation release is also in discussions.
The announcement states that users can adjust the sound as needed, and see who is in the call and who is speaking. It also states that gamers can swap between the Xbox game chat and Discord voice call.
